Bhagat Sadhna Ji is one of the fifteen Bhagat contributors to the Guru Granth Sahib and one of the saint-poets of the Medieval period. He was a butcher by profession; therefore, he is also known as Sadhna Kasai (also Qasai). According to Max Arthur McAuliffe, he also founded a sect, but the number of its followers is very small now. The people of this sect also generally took up the butcher profession. The doctrines of Bhagat Sadhna Ji’s followers are not traceable in written form. At Sirhind (Fatihgarh Sahib, Panjab), there is a memorial of Bhagat Sadhna Ji called 'sadhne kasai di masit' by the local people. But there is no concrete information available about its history.
