to the Guru Granth Sahib and one of the saint-poets of the Medieval period. He was a butcher by profession; therefore, he is also known as Sadhna Kasai (also Qasai). According to Max Arthur McAuliffe, he also founded a sect, but the number of its followers is very small now. The people of this sect also generally took up the butcher profession. The doctrines of Bhagat Sadhna Ji’s followers are not traceable in written form.

At Sirhind (Fatihgarh Sahib, Panjab), there is a memorial of Bhagat Sadhna Ji called 'sadhne kasai di masit' by the local people. But there is no concrete information available about its history.

In the Guru Granth Sahib, only one Sabad of Bhagat Sadhna Ji is recorded on page 858 under Rag Bilaval. This Sabad has four stanzas. The stanza of rahau is separate from these stanzas.

In this Sabad, Bhagat Sadhna Ji pleads before IkOankar (the Divine) to save his mind from vice-full desires. He states: O IkOankar! Many waves of vices are rising in the world-ocean. I cannot escape them with my efforts. Life is coming to an end. Vices are attacking again and again. Hurry, save me from these attacks.
