1. gūjarī srī jaidev jīu kā padā gharu 4 (Rag Gujari, Pada of Sri Jaidev, Ghar 4)
2. rāgu mārū bāṇī jaideu jīu kī (Rag Maru; Bani of Bhagat Jaidev Ji)
Since the word ‘pada’ appears in the title of the first Sabad, it is also referred to as ‘jaidev jī dā padā’ (a stanza by Jaidev Ji). This Sabad contains five stanzas, each consisting of two lines, and one separate two-line stanza of rahau (pause). The second Sabad contains two stanzas, each consisting of two lines, with a two-line stanza of rahau.
In the first Sabad, Bhagat Jaidev Ji praises the all-pervading IkOankar and the greatness of the remembrance of IkOankar’s Nam. IkOankar is present everywhere, at every moment. Remembering Nam is the source of all blessings. All suffering and fear are dispelled by engaging in the remembrance of Nam. Bhagat Jaidev Ji encourages beings to engage in virtuous deeds and live righteously, urging them to abandon their vices and instead seek refuge in the all-pervading IkOankar.
In the second Sabad, Bhagat Jaidev Ji states that when a being sings praises of the all-pervading IkOankar’s virtues, conflicts and contradictions of the mind are eliminated. Their dualistic vision becomes unified as if the being has attained the ultimate reward of all the disciplines. By singing praises of and being in remembrance, one can experience IkOankar.
