This chant states that this body becomes precious like gold through Wisdom and is ever-newly colored like IkOankar. The mind is reined in. The seeker experiences and enjoys the bliss of the presence of IkOankar.

In the fourth stanza, Guru Ramdas says this human body is like a thoroughbred mare, through which the 1-Light is found. Once again, we are reminded that the body is like a horse of a superior breed. It is not just that these bodies are a gift; it is that they are the best and most beautiful vessels because they are made by the Beautiful, IkOankar (One Universal Integrative Force, 1Force, the One), and they are made for Nam (Identification with IkOankar). When the seeker begins to have a relationship with the eternal Wisdom, when they join the company of the virtuous beings, the bliss-giving praises of IkOankar are sung through the Word-Sound, through the Sabad. This is the joyful song.

The Guru says that the seeker who sings this joyful song, who sings the bliss-giving praises of IkOankar in the company of other devotees, who remembers the Nam, who becomes the servant of those who serves the 1-Light, finds a place in the palace of the One. In this mansion, the seeker experiences deep love with the One while living. The seeker experiences the companionship of the Divine-Husband and remains fresh in that love and blissful in that love. This is how the seeker experiences the presence of IkOankar. This is how the seeker experiences the bliss of union, colored in the love of the One.

This seeker sings the virtues of the Beautiful One with great love and devotion and contemplates the 1-Light within their mind through the guidance of the Wisdom. They mount their mare-like body, making it the means through which to experience union. It is this seeker who experiences the presence of IkOankar through the Grace of IkOankar, through bringing the Grace within and embodying it.

This is what happens when the mare-like body is cultivated from within to live up to its potential for union with IkOankar. This is what happens when Praise is sung, when Wisdom is the guide, and when the virtuous ones are the companions. This is how the seeker becomes drenched in love, ever-fresh devotion. This is how the being becomes like the Being. This is what happens when the seeker belongs to the Beloved. The body is made beautiful. The mind is made beautiful. Life is made beautiful. Will we sing the joyful song? Will we color ourselves in love of the One? Will we bring the Grace within and experience the presence of IkOankar?
