This chant states that this body becomes precious like gold through Wisdom and is ever-newly colored like IkOankar. The mind is reined in. The seeker experiences and enjoys the bliss of the presence of IkOankar.

In the third stanza, Guru Ramdas says the Guru placed the bridle ring like a goad in the mouth. The elephant mind came under control through the teaching of the Wisdom. Our mare-like bodies also have elephant-like minds, stubborn and with big egos in need of discipline. The mind is where we often get caught up in pride, stuck in our ways, and unable to change our behavior even when we desire to. The Guru says that when the teaching of the Wisdom is placed within the seeker, when the Word of the Wisdom is internalized, the mind is brought under control, and the elephant-like ego is defeated.

The mind comes under control, and the seeker is able to find the supreme state of connection with the Divine-Husband, IkOankar (One Universal Integrative Force, 1Force, the One). The seeker becomes endearing to IkOankar, beloved to IkOankar, and deep devotion for the One develops in the seeker’s mind. This love develops when the mind’s stubbornness is reined in, and Remembrance, Praise, and Identification come to dwell within the self. In this state, in deep devotion to the One, in an intimate relationship with the One, the seeker becomes beautiful and accepted in the court of IkOankar.  The seeker who becomes beloved to IkOankar, who becomes beautiful in love, finds a place in the court of the One. In this court, the seeker experiences deep love with the One while living. The seeker experiences the companionship of the Divine-Husband and remains fresh in that love and blissful in that love. This is how the seeker experiences the presence of IkOankar here and now. This is how the seeker experiences the bliss of union, colored in the love of the One.

The Guru says that the seeker becomes imbued in the color of the 1-Light, drenched in the color of love, and intoxicated in a state of sahaj. The word ‘sahaj’ refers to a state of Divine love and awareness beyond worldly attachment's influence. When a seeker continuously and consistently implements the teachings of the Wisdom in life, when they exist in relationship with the One, and devotedly engage in Remembrance, Praise, and Identification, this state of sahaj is reached, and it becomes permanently etched in the consciousness. This is a perpetual state of Divine love and awareness.

The seeker has naturally, intrinsically, and intuitively developed this deep love and devotion. And when that meeting occurs, the seeker develops even more love for IkOankar, the 1-Light. The seeker is intoxicated in this stage, exuberant in the bliss of the experience of love with the 1-Light, exuberant in the bliss of the experience of IkOankar’s all-pervasiveness. This is the state of the greatly fortunate ones who remember the Nam through the Grace of IkOankar. Will we defeat our elephant-like minds? Will we replace the mind’s stubbornness with deep devotion? Will we drench ourselves in love and experience the intoxication of the state of sahaj
