In this
Sabad, Sheikh Farid
Ji, while further elaborating the idea presented in the previous Sabad of the same
rag, instructs the being to renounce the attachment to the transient material world and connect with IkOankar (the Divine) while they are still young and capable. In old age, on the one hand, the being becomes weak; on the other hand, the fear of death begins to torment them. Sheikh Farid Ji reminds the being that the precious opportunity of this life does not come back once it has passed and urges the being to practice devotion to IkOankar while they are still alive.
